Job Advert:Translations Manager
Location: Malta

Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Translations Manager located in Malta, ideally around the areas between St Julian’s and Valletta but nowhere is far to travel in Malta, so it is flexible. Responsibilities include:
- managing translation projects;
- ensuring translators deliver high quality work in a timely manner;
- liaising directly with clients in Malta and also liaising with clients and translators around the world;
- delivering translations to clients and sometimes collecting documents;
- developing new business in Malta; support will be given to assist with sales and marketing.
We have some specific requirements:
- Must have a linguistics degree, recognised by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), suitable to register with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Malta and therefore able to sign and stamp translation documents;
- Must be fluent in Macedonian language;
- Must have Maltese residence and be based in Malta.
Qualifications
- Ideally some experience working in the translations industry but training can be provided; the job role does not require the candidate to carry out any translations;
- Good communication and writing skills;
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
We are looking for a “people person” who can build relationships with clients, attract new clients and deliver a first class service. It is not necessary to work in the office every day, as this work is suited for home or remote working, other than collecting and delivering documents in Malta.
